Refilling Lashes

Lash refills are a part of lash maintenance. Requests for fills tend to happen a lot.

When do you need Eyelash Extension fills?

Once the client has a full set of Eyelash Extensions, they will need to come in periodically. Lash extension refill are simply new lashes placed on natural lashes as the old ones are about to fall off.

Ideally, the client should come in every two to four weeks, but longer wait times may mean a longer treatment time as more lashes will need to be filled.

In general, it’s best to perform a refill service when the client has at least 40% of the lash extensions left from the full set. In this case, you will remove the overgrown, twisted, weak bonded Lash Extensions and replace them with new ones. .

Eyelash extensions v/s False lashes

Eyelash Extensions are semi-permanent fibers glued to your natural lashes to make them look longer, thicker and darker. It helps you achieve desired look without the use of mascara or any heavy eye makeup.

While false lashes can also achieve this look, there are some difference. False lashes come in strips that you glue on your natural lash line and removed at the end of the day while the Lash Extensions last for an average for 6 weeks to 2 months.

How long it takes?

The session on an average usually takes around 15 minutes. To start, the specialist will understand your requirement regarding the look of your brows you want. Then they will prep the area, clean the brows and apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to prevent any skin staining. Then the dye is mixed and carefully applied in direction of your brows and then a second layer is applied in the opposite direction. The dye is left for few minutes to attain the colour and then the excess is removed.
